Kannur: A complaint has been lodged against a church vicar who shared an obscene video to a women’s spiritual WhatsApp group. A complaint has been lodged against the vicar of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sebastian, for not closing Kannur for sharing an obscene video to the ‘Mathruvedi’ group.

The incident took place last Sunday. The women had lodged a complaint at the Mananthavady diocese headquarters after being exposed to a pornographic video group. Following the complaint, Sebastian has been recalled to the diocesan headquarters.

The priests explained that the video was posted by him as a fine. No action has yet been taken against the vicar. Indications are that action will be taken soon.
