The president of the Castellón Port Authority, Rubén Ibanez, has said that the port of Castellón thus adapts to the demand of its clients and he declared that these works are “necessary to strengthen the expansion of the southern dock”, which will provide a service. for a large volume of traffic, once the works under development are completed, such as the railway entrances, the intermodal station and the expansion of the available surface.
Ibanez expressed that “with all this, this area will be consolidated as a first-class intermodal logistics platform, also thanks to the LogistiCS industrial development near the port. “The area to the south has become the center and a pole of attraction for business and that is why we need to provide it with the infrastructure that companies need.”
The new rack is provided, whose works have been completed for five months. It is a linear concrete structure 680 meters long and 2.50 meters wide at the bottom that starts at liquid dock I and ends at the walkway that crosses the facility.
