The Port of Castellón receives three proposals to develop the south basin

The Port Authority of Castellón (spain) has received three proposals to carry out the tasks corresponding to an external technical office for its development projects in the south basin.

Those responsible for the Castellón port area consider that taking into account the limited number of technicians in its Infrastructure Area and the concentration of the number of works organized in a short time, essential to comply with the investment plan, it is necessary to hire a support service to drafting projects related to this area of ​​action.

Specifically, the Castellón Port Authority has organized a series of actions with the aim of developing urbanization infrastructures for its docks, which represents an investment of 6,340,000 euros and includes overpasses over the drainage channel, parallel rack and river crossing. Iberdrola Canal, splitting of the main road of the south dock, road parallel to the railway platform of the south dock and initiatives associated with the investment line of the urbanization of the docks in the years 2023 and 2024.

The works will imply the elaboration of the documents that will be the foundation for the projects that will technically develop the actions to be carried out, for which reason they must have a sufficient level of development to define with precision all the actions and to proceed with the realization by the contracting body of all administrative procedures necessary for the execution of the works.

At the moment, the companies Compaypa, Urbanistas Ingenieros and the temporary union of companies that make up Gecival and Applus Norcontrol have applied for a file with an execution period of seven months, a base bid budget of 83,154.23 euros and a estimated contract value of 68,722.50 euros.

On the other hand, the Castellón Port Authority has installed its sixth air quality detector, thus complying with its environmental protection policy. The new station for the sampling and control of particulate matter PM10 and PM2.5 has involved an investment of 31,000 euros.
