He Port of Ceuta (Spain) has begun work on the future digital and data processing center of Avangreen, marking the most important private investment in the last fifty years in the autonomous city. This project will cover an area of 2,450 m².

Located specifically on the esplanade of the Poniente dock of the port of Ceuta, this space is conceived as a hub that will connect various devices, centralizing all connections in one place. It represents a strategic economic digitalization initiative for the region.

The project involves the creation of an advanced digital data processing center in North Africa, powered by clean and renewable energy. More than 3,600 solar panels will support its operations, contributing to environmental sustainability.

With the legal guarantee of the European Union, this data center is presented as a catalyst for business opportunities for the digital sector in the region. It will offer solutions in areas such as digital finance, sustainable mobility, port logistics and sustainable tourism.

Construction, scheduled to be completed by December 31, will generate more than 130 direct and indirect jobs. Once operational, this Green Digital Data Center, with expandable capacity from 1.2 MW to 2.4 MW and THIER 3 certification, is expected to become the only infrastructure of its kind in North Africa, consolidating the city of Ceuta as a strategic point for digital development in the region.

On the other hand, the Port of Motril has once again recovered general merchandise road traffic with North Africa, after incorporating a daily connection with Tangier-Med in November and reactivating maritime lines at the end of the pandemic.
