The Poseidonia bridge connecting Loutraki to Corinth was broken

by time news

The Poseidonia bridge that connects Loutraki to Corinth collapsed at around 9:00 on Sunday evening.

The bridge was damaged during its sinking, and there is still no official information from AEDIK about the restoration work.

The Director General of AEDIK, Giorgos Zouglis, reported yesterday about the damage to the Poseidonia sunken bridge, following his communication with loutrakiblog.gr:

“It’s not a wire rope, we’ve damaged winch 4 on the Poseidonia side. Crews are sorting it out now to determine the extent of the damage. Fortunately we have the necessary parts and it should probably be fixed by morning“.

Note that there are four winches that turn and raise/lower the bridge.
