BOLZANO. “The decision of the “Goethe” school in Bolzano to “establish ghetto classes for students who are not German native speakers, openly sponsored by the largest party in our country and by other more extremist political forces, is culturally, scientifically and educationally unfounded, institutionally unacceptable and illegitimate in accordance with the principles of the Constitution and autonomy itself”.

This is stated by the‘Anpi Alto Adige South Tyrol. “It is unfounded, explains a note, because the legitimate choice made by some families to acquire, knowledge, skills, inclusion and community, is not reacted with anachronistic ‘ghetto classes’, antechamber of more serious failures and de facto expulsions” and “unacceptable because it represents a return to a sad past of oppositions and clashes of an ethnic nature”.

“Finally, in terms of the Constitution, the Statute and the laws in force, the decision is illegitimate and arbitrary and risks having devastating consequences for society as a whole”, concludes Anpi, which urges “an immediate step back to be able to build shared solutions together”.
