There are still two weeks left until the end of the summer holidays and the tourist season is still in full swing. Aktuálně.cz presents an overview of the power of passports in the world, which is regularly compiled by the consulting company Henley & Partners. Holders of a Czech passport can travel visa-free to 187 countries around the world, and the Czech document thus performs very well in comparison. Syria and Iraq have the weakest passports.

Henley & Partners has been publishing a ranking of the most powerful passports since 2006. It updates them continuously throughout the year based on data from the International Air Carriers Association.

The index compares 199 passports with conditions for entry to 227 different destinations. The comparison does not include special passports such as diplomatic, foreign or temporary passports.

In addition to “classic” visa-free travel, the ranking includes visa-free travel, which only needs to be filled out upon arrival (in the original visa on arrival) and electronic forms such as the American ESTA. In addition to classic visa contact, the category of visa contact also includes an electronic visa.
