The PP declares itself as “the party of workers and the self-employed” this May 1 in which unions and leftist forces demonstrate in 70 cities in Spain on the occasion of International Labor Day.

The number two of the PP, Cuca Gamarra, accused the Government of Pedro Sánchez, and in addition to the minister and leader of Sumar, Yolanda Díaz, of impoverishing wages while increasing taxes. The leader of the PP even ironized that up to six ministers have attended the demonstrations for the 1-m, when, in the words of Gamarra, according to the OECD Spain is the country where family incomes fall the most. “The best guarantee for employment is that Pedro Sánchez loses his,” she concluded. Alberto Núñez Feijóo added through the networks that “there is less to go before stable employment is created again.”

Gamarra, during a rally in Asturias to support his municipal and regional candidates, stuck to his party’s script in order to wear down the coalition government in the face of 28-M and the general elections scheduled for December.

The number two of the PP recalled that a thousand sexual offenders have seen their sentences reduced due to the approval of the “only yes is yes” law, emphasized that the new housing law only favors squatters and finished off with the division within the Council of Ministers. “The Titanic is an example of stability compared to the Sánchez government,” she concluded.
