Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that yesterday’s air strike against military facilities in Iran had achieved all its goals, BTA reported, according to information from France Press.
The agency notes that this is the prime minister’s first public statement regarding the strikes.
“The attack was precise and powerful and achieved all its objectives,” Netanyahu said today at a ceremony marking the first anniversary according to the Jewish calendar of the October 7, 2023, attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas in southern Israel.
“Iran attacked Israel with hundreds of ballistic missiles and the attack failed,” he said, referring to Iran’s October 1 missile attack, when most of the missiles fired were intercepted by Israeli air defenses.
“Then we promised a powerful response and yesterday at dawn we kept our promise. The Air Force attacked Iran and struck Iranian defense capabilities and missile production facilities aimed at us,” Netanyahu added.
