After the training of regional and prefectural coordinators of the National Administrative Census Program for Civil Status (PN-RAVEC), the time has come to install the prefectural monitoring committees of the PN-RAVEC in the prefectures of the Kindia region.
In Coyah, this prefectural monitoring committee of the PN-RAVEC was installed on Tuesday August 6, 2024 by the regional Coordinator, the Governor of the Kindia region, in the presence of the Deputy Coordinator in charge of financial and administrative matters of the PN-RAVEC.
Composed of ten members, this prefectural monitoring committee of the PN-RAVEC will have the heavy task of managing the administrative and technical implementation of the National Census Program for Civil Status Purposes in its jurisdiction, but also ordering the municipal committees to implement the decisions and orientations resulting from the regional committee and the national coordination of the PN-RAVEC and also managing logistical issues related to the national coordination…
The prefect, Colonel Yaya Kalissa, president of the said committee, hammered home for the occasion: “I invite all members of the Prefectural Committee to get actively involved and with full responsibility to achieve the missions assigned to us.”
Furthermore, he also specified: “It is essential for us to have an effective monitoring and reporting mechanism in order to discuss the challenges, evaluate the actions to be taken and find avenues for important and urgent solutions to be undertaken in carrying out the activities.”
Mrs. Bountouraby Rose Camara, Deputy Coordinator in charge of financial and administrative matters, for her part, invited all members of the committee to be more committed and available in order to meet the challenge. “We can only count on your willingness and your unwavering commitment to the success of the program which is at the heart of the overhaul, it is only together that we will be able to meet the challenges that await us.”
Presiding over this installation ceremony, the Governor of the Kindia region, regional coordinator of the PN-RAVEC, General second section Elhadj Aboubacar Diakité for his part specified: “This program is a whole national program, it appears in the ten points of the transition timetable. So it is a whole process and this process begins today with the installation of this committee. So Coyah will feel happy to have the prefectural committee. I also ask all members to get involved in the process and in all responsibility for the success of this program. It is mandatory that we succeed in this program and we must be vigilant so that this process arrives safely.”
It should be recalled that this program is part of the broader framework of the revision of the legal and institutional framework of Guinean civil status, aimed at modernizing and securing the processes of census and identification of citizens.
