In a press release published at the end of its meeting on Wednesday in Rabat, the body indicated that this cohesion had a positive impact on the government report presented by the head of the Executive before the two Chambers of parliament, despite the crises and constraints that the government had to face during this period, including the repercussions of the Covid pandemic, severe drought and the impact of geostrategic tensions on supply chains.
At the start of its work, the body warmly welcomed the deployment, on the High Instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, of medical humanitarian aid for the benefit of the Palestinian population of Gaza, noting that this initiative clearly reflects the High concern with which His Majesty the King, President of the Al-Quds Committee, surrounds the Palestinian question.
The body, the press release continued, praised innovative and distinguished government management, based on the effective implementation of commitments contained in the government program and rapid and positive interaction with unforeseen issues.
The same source notes that the body also expressed the satisfaction of the majority components with the pace of execution of the government program, highlighting the financial engineering put in place by the Executive to guarantee the sustainability of financing of the social state project.
The body, adds the press release, highlighted the major action of the groups of the parliamentary majority within the Houses of Representatives and Advisors, in application of their constitutional responsibilities in matters of legislation, control and evaluation, welcoming in the same framework “the institutional interaction of opposition groups which contributes to strengthening the political roles of Parliament as an incubating institution for democratic debate in our country”.
The body also emphasized the central place of local authorities, provincial councils and regional councils in the consecration of the proximity approach towards citizens, emphasizing the importance of strengthening their missions in order to consolidate the decentralization process, improve local services and the local development index and reduce spatial disparities.
The body of the presidency of the government majority also reaffirmed its commitment to continue the implementation of the government program, to act in the direction of immunization of the social state project and to prioritize the employment file during the remainder of the government mandate.
This meeting took place under the chairmanship of the president of the National Rally of Independents, Aziz Akhannouch, the coordinator of the collegial direction of the general secretariat of the Authenticity and Modernity Party, Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, and the general secretary of the party of Istiqlal, Nizar Baraka, in the presence of Rachid Talbi Alami and Samir Goudar.
