The President said that Ms. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed served as Minister of Meteorology during the first term of the Prime Minister. Neem trees were planted, today the need to plant trees has increased in view of the increasing temperature in Pakistan.
Asif Ali Zardari appealed that the nation, especially the youth and the civil society, actively participate in the monsoon planting campaign, to plant more trees in their neighborhoods and surroundings for a better environment.
