The clerical president traveled with part of her cabinet “to support the emergency and the needs of the population,” she said on the social network.

When he arrived, Sheinbaum listened from his car to an Acapulco resident who explained to him that he had lost his business after Otis, as witnessed by an AFP reporter.

He also warned residents of coastal areas of tropical depression Once-E which will make landfall “in the next 24 hours” and is expected to cause heavy rain on the coasts of the state of Guerrero, where Acapulco is located. and in nearby Oaxaca. .

“We ask the population to stay away from river beds, stay in high places and go to shelters, as well as follow the instructions of the authorities,” Sheinbaum detailed in another message on X.
