He President of the National Construction Confederation, Pedro Fernández Allenhas warned this Friday that the call for general elections for next July 23 may delay the application of European funds.
This has been pointed out by Fernández after accompanying the Chamber of Contractors of Castilla y León in the celebration of its Assembly with which the 40 years of this organization are celebrated.
There, he highlighted that the electoral call will cause “a stoppage” which can lead to a delay in the application of the funds derived from the Recovery and Resilience Plan, even more so in Castilla y León due to its specific needs.
In this sense, he explained that Castilla y León is a “little well-treated” community for all the investment that would have to be made in a region with more than 2,000 municipalities and with characteristics such as dispersion and a small population.
that’s why this Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan should pay “special attention” to Castilla y León because it is not just about infrastructure works, but about treatment plants, recycling plants or photovoltaic parks, which could give “significant power” to the community that has “a business fabric sufficiently serious and settled.”
For his part, he President of the Chamber of Contractors of Castilla y León, Enrique Pascual, He highlighted the 40 years of the Chamber and recalled that this is the first national business association with a carbon footprint through a project in the Sierra de Ávila, in the municipalities of Cebreros and Hoyo del Espino, which suffered fires.
It has also ensured that a cybersecurity office will be set up to help partners and provide them with solutions in this area.
