Inongo, 12 May 2023 (ACP).- The president of the Provincial Youth Council, Dali Moweni Ngambiembe was suspended from his duties by decision of the provincial minister of youth following an embezzlement of an amount of 5,790,500 FC from the public treasury, learned the ACP Friday from official source.
In a correspondence made public, Mr. Moweni is accused of having embezzled retrocession funds from the branch of the national forest fund, collected at the post of Kinsele in the territory of Kwamouth from the month of February to the month of August 2022 as part of the exercise of his duties as a tax collector at the Mai Ndombe General Revenue Directorate (DGRM).
“Since such an action which constitutes an embezzlement of public funds, is likely to tarnish your image supposed to be exemplary in your behavior, since you are in charge of the supervision of young people, hope of tomorrow in your capacity as president vested with the Office of the Provincial Youth Council of Mai Ndombe, I regret to inform you that you have been suspended from your duties as President of the Provincial Youth Council of Mai Ndombe, until the full reimbursement of this fund for the benefit of the National Forest Fund,” said the provincial Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Recreation and Relations with the Provincial Assembly, Gerry Abraham Mwantote Mpia.
