Presidential elections are all out of the ordinary. The 2022 vintage has, to say the least, not changed the situation. Exceptional because it was ultimately very short, upset by the war in Ukraine, which pushed the outgoing president to wait until the very last moment to announce his candidacy. And disturbed, too, by the health crisis.

For months, his adversaries tried to impose their favorite themes. The candidates for the LR congress at the end of last year competed in ingenuity on the subject of security. A few weeks earlier, Jean-Luc Mélenchon and Éric Zemmour fought over the theme of identity, the first opposing the concept of creolization to the great replacement of the second. The sharp rise in fuel prices has finally reminded the French of the issue of purchasing power which has once again become central.

The French, they still say they are very undecided, perhaps more than ever. Their choice could once again be made in the voting booth or almost.

Le Parisien has reviewed the programs of all the candidates for the presidential election. We have extracted sixty questions reflecting the major themes of this campaign. These questions make it possible to distinguish the positions of the various candidates. By responding with one answer or another, our tool is therefore able to identify the candidate who has the most of your ideas.

Methodology: for each of your answers, our simulator gives you more or less points compared to each candidate. At the end of the questionnaire, we offer you a list of candidates, starting with the one with whom you have the most points of agreement on all the questions asked. This “ranking” is obviously to be taken as an indication, given that it is not exhaustive, even if we have ensured the variety of questions.
