President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev had a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
As Day.Az reports with reference to the press service of President Tokayev, the heads of state exchanged condolences in connection with the tragic loss of life as a result of the crash of an Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) plane near the city of Aktau.
“The interlocutors discussed the work being done by the parties to clarify the circumstances of the plane crash. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the established Government Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues the investigation with the involvement of specialists from Azerbaijan, Russia and Brazil.
The presidents emphasized the importance of ensuring a comprehensive and transparent investigation as part of the ongoing investigative activities,” the office of the President of Kazakhstan reported.
Let us recall that on December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane belonging to AZAL, flying along the Baku-Grozny route, crashed 3 kilometers from Aktau airport.
There were 67 people on board the plane (62 passengers and 5 crew members).
On December 26, 14 victims and the bodies of four dead were delivered to Azerbaijan.
