Electric vehicle:
It was at this point that 67-year-old Anthony John from Kerala decided to build his own electric car. He decided to drive to his home and office with this electric car. Anthony John used to use an electric scooter to travel from home to the office. As he got older he planned to use an electric car to travel safely without being exposed to sunlight and rain.
Design and Electrical Work:
Accordingly, by 2018, Anthony John decided to build an electric vehicle for himself. Anthony John envisioned a garage that would create the body structure for this. Here he created the design for the car according to his design. The electric vehicle, which is small in size, can seat two people. Anthony John said he did all the electrical work himself inside the body of the electric vehicle he built in the workshop.
Battery and motor:
The battery, motor and wiring for the electric vehicle are then provided by a Delhi-based company. Due to the fact that no electric vehicle has been developed before, it could not be completed in 2018. At first the battery fitted in this vehicle was only able to go a short distance if fully charged.
He then replaced the car’s battery after being given some relief in the corona virus curfew. After that this electric car offers a range of up to 60 km on full charge. Anthony John goes to the office in this vehicle every day. For this Rs. It only costs 5, he said.
Price:
The total cost to build this electric vehicle is Rs. Anthony John said it cost up to Rs 4.5 lakh. He said the vehicle was small in size, making it easy to navigate city traffic jams and small streets. Anthony John said he plans to build another electric vehicle that is different.
