The price of a kilo of green chillies starts from 1000 rupees to 1200 rupees

In Kandy and Katugasthota areas the price of green chillies has increased from Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1200 per kg.

For a few days, the price of a kilo of green chillies was around Rs 400, according to retailers.

The total price of a kilo of green chillies was 68-700, said the head of the Menikumbura Economic Center.

He also said that consumers are suffering due to the high price of green chillies.
