On Friday (September 27) after visiting various raw markets including Dhanmondi in the capital and talking to the sellers, it is known that eggplant is Tk 120 per kg, bitter gourd Tk 80, papaya Tk 30, kachur lathi Tk 80, carrot Tk 170, each piece of gourd Tk 60, cabbage and cauliflower Tk 60. , Tomato 150 Tk, Chichinga 60, Dhundul 70, Desi Shasha 80, Barbati 100, Dherash 60, Patal 50, Kankrol 70, Kachurmukhi 70 Tk, Jali Kumra 60 Tk.

Fish prices have also increased this week compared to last week due to low supply. Now medium size roe fish is being sold for Tk 400 to Tk 450. Farmed pangas are selling at Tk 210 per kg, Tilapia at Tk 220, Koi at Tk 210, Shing at Tk 600, Pabda at Tk 500, Prawn at Tk 700 to Tk 800, Desi panchmisali small fish at Tk 600.

Meanwhile, prices have increased since the news of India’s hilsa fish exports. This week, 500 grams of hilsa is 1000-1100 taka per kg, 800 grams of hilsa is 1500 taka per kg, 1 kg of hilsa is 1700-1800 taka per kg, 200 to 300 grams of hilsa is being sold at 2000 to 2200 taka per kg.

The price of broiler chicken has increased in the market this week. Now per kg is being sold from Tk 190 to Tk 200. Golden chicken is being sold at Tk 270 to Tk 280 per kg. Red is being sold at Tk 320 per kg. Beef is being sold at Tk 800 per kg and beef at Tk 1100 per kg. The price of a dozen eggs is 165 to 170 taka.

On the other hand, domestic onions are being sold at Tk 115 to Tk 120 depending on the standard. Potatoes are being sold at 60 rupees. Garlic is being sold at Tk 220 and Ginger at Tk 280.

Housewife Parveen Begum, who came to shop at the capital’s Salek Garden raw market, told RisingBD that the price of hilsa is more than the price of four to five days of income for low-income people like us.

Hasan Sikder, a vegetable seller in the capital’s New Market, told RisingBD that the price of vegetables has increased by Tk 8 to Tk 10 per kg as compared to last week, the supply of vegetables is less this week. Again the price of some vegetables has decreased. The main reason for the increase in prices is that vegetables are less than the demand in Mokam.
