The price of fame: Kim Kardashian spoke at a financial conference and received a million dollars for her participation

Kim Kardashian continues to enrich her bank account. The New York Post reported that the reality star turned businesswoman earned a million dollars for her appearance at a financial conference as part of “Hedge Fund Week” in Miami.

Kardashian participated in a panel at the iConnections Global Alts conference held this week at the Fountain Blue Hotel in the city and talked about the private equity firm SKKY Partners that she recently launched together with businessman Jay Sammons.

The conference organizers and Kardashian’s representatives did not receive a response to the report.

Kardashian, who also founded the cosmetics brand KKW and the sculpting brand Skims, was ranked last year on Forbes magazine’s list of billionaires, but according to the report, some of the fund managers who attended the conference preferred to skip her panel. “She looks good, but I flew from London to do business. What can I learn from her?” One of the participants was quoted.

Nevertheless, Kardashian managed to fill the hall to capacity. “She received thunderous applause when she came on stage,” said Ron Biscardi, one of the organizers of the conference. “The hall where she spoke was completely full and people had to stand in the corridor. There were also people in the adjacent rooms where the panel was shown on video.” He also added that he was happy to see “so much support for a female fund manager in an industry dominated by men.”

Other attendees at the conference also included businessman Mark Cuban and Anthony Scaramucci. According to the report, tickets for the event cost $10,000.

Kardashian unveiled her private equity launch last September, announcing that the company would focus on investments in consumer products, hospitality, luxury and digital commerce.
