Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has announced to increase the price of gold in the country’s market within one day. The new price has been increased by a maximum of Tk 3 thousand 44 per load. As a result of the price increase, the price of a good quality i.e. 22 carat gold bar will now be 1 lakh 38 thousand 708 taka, which was sold today for 1 lakh 35 thousand 664 taka.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Chairman Masudur Rahman of Bajus Price Determination and Monitoring Standing Committee on Wednesday (September 25).

According to Bajus, the price of acidic gold has increased in the local market. The new price of gold has been fixed keeping in view the overall situation. The new gold price will be effective from tomorrow (Thursday).

According to the new prices, the best quality or 22 carat gold (11.664 grams) is Tk 1 lakh 38 thousand 708, 21 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 32 thousand 398, 18 carat gold is Tk 1 lakh 13 thousand 491 and traditional method Each load of gold will be sold at 93 thousand 160 taka.

The price of gold has been increased but the price of silver has been kept unchanged. According to the category, currently 22 carat silver price is 2 thousand 100 taka, 21 carat silver price is 2 thousand 6 taka, 18 carat silver price is 1715 taka and traditional method silver price is 1 thousand 283 taka.

Earlier last Tuesday (September 24), Bajus had raised the price of gold, which became effective on Wednesday. On Wednesday, 22 carat gold was sold at 1 lakh 35 thousand 664 rupees, 21 carat gold was sold at 1 lakh 29 thousand 505 rupees, 18 carat gold was sold at 1 lakh 10 thousand 995 rupees and traditional gold was sold at 91 thousand 38 rupees.
