Labé, September 27, 2023 – The Head of Government Dr. Bernard Goumou, accompanied by the Minister of Energy, the High Commissioner of the Organization for the Development of the Gambia River (OMVG) and members of his cabinet, proceeded for the official commissioning of the electricity station in the administrative region of Labé.
“Labé the hospitable city, the religious city, which has today become the City of Light of Fouta”, introduced the Prime Minister, before recalling that the official commissioning of the Labé electricity station which he has the honor of presiding is a promise kept by the President of the Republic.
“No one here can imagine the enormous pressure he has put on the government to accelerate the implementation of this OMVG project, but also to ensure the quality and reliability of the installations,” he adds.
The Head of Government also specified that the State will do its part and continue to restore its authority by deploying its services in the regions in favor of the users it must serve.
