The Iraqi Football Association confirmed that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani pays great attention to the tripartite committee organizing the match between our national team and its Omani counterpart in Basra, as part of the decisive qualifiers for the World Cup, while indicating that Iraq is capable of organizing major tournaments.
Iraqi Federation member Mohammed Farhan told the (INA): “The sports city is ready to host the anticipated match, and there is a tripartite committee formed by order of the Prime Minister, consisting of the Iraqi Federation, the Ministry of Youth and the Basra Governorate, in preparation for this confrontation,” explaining that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani pays great attention to the committee formed to organize our national team’s matches in the qualifiers at Basra Stadium.”
Farhan said, “The Federation is working hard to make the match appear in a manner befitting football and the name of Iraq,” noting that “Iraq is capable of organizing major tournaments.”
Farhan added: “We have great confidence in our national team and our players to win the match points and achieve the big dream of being in the World Cup finals.”
