The Prime Minister of Burundi welcomes the 2023 peace torch from Kayanza to Cibitoke
Bujumbura (Cibitoke), December 5, 2023 – In perfect harmony with the social policy of Barundi and in a relaxed atmosphere, the Prime Minister of Burundi, Mr. Ndirakobuca Gervais (Lieutenant General of Police)accompanied by governor of Cibitoke, M. Bizoza Carême (OPC1, Colonel)and of Mr. Ntigurirwa Silas (Lieutenant General)welcomed at the Rwegura hydroelectric dam the torch of peace, coming from Kayanza, handed over by the Honorable Ndabirabe Gélase Daniel, President of the National Assembly of Burundi. The Peace Torch Caravan, initiated in 2006 by the blessed ancestor Nkurunziza Pierre, former President of Burundi, celebrates its 17th edition. Traveling through all the provinces of the country, it conveys messages of peace, harmony and peaceful cohabitation.
