Negotiations aimed at lifting the restriction, which began after the suspension of the supply of dairy products from Armenia to Russia, continued on April 17 in Moscow.

The head of Russia’s Rosselkhoznadzor, Sergey Dankvert, and the head of the RA Food Safety Inspection Authority, Armen Hayrapetyan, discussed the issues of concern to the parties related to the export of dairy products made from Iranian raw materials that do not have a circulation permit in Russia.

Both sides showed a constructive approach and agreed to settle the issue step by step.

Accordingly, we suggest to the Armenian dairy producing and exporting organizations, which work only with local and Russian-approved raw materials, to apply to the Food Safety Inspection Body to carry out studies and control in their companies. Organizations that meet the requirements will be submitted to Rosselkhoznadzor for consideration.

This process will make it possible to completely restore the previous volumes of Armenian dairy products exports to the Russian market in a certain period of time.
