The British oil and gas exploration company Energian (LON:) announced on Sunday that following the approval received from the Ministry of Energy for the connection of the floating rig (FPSO) “Shark” to the Israeli gas system, the process of flowing natural gas from the shore, through the underwater pipeline system, to the rig began (Buy-Back process).

According to Energian,

“The gas flow from the shore is an important step in the process of running the rig.”

In the first phase, it is only an “instrument test”, the main of which is the reverse flow of the gas from the shore to the mobile rig, which is located about 100 km from the shore, and this is to check the integrity of the systems. After the testing phase is completed, within a few weeks, gas production from the field will begin himself.

It was reported in “Israel Today” news yesterday that, as part of the formal approval given by the Ministry of Energy to the company to start the testing phase. In the security aspect, the company was told that despite the negotiations and Nasrallah’s threats, from the point of view of the IDF and the Ministry of Defense there is no obstacle to start the production of gas according to Energian’s professional considerations.

Banerjian (TASE:) responded that there is no delay in the schedules and denied tensions with the government representatives.
