Who is? The third season of the most watched show in Israel, which is coming back soon for a new season on request 12. 18 of the famous people in Israel, disguised in huge elaborate costumes, will compete for the best stage show. The Masked Singer is an Israeli reality show of Keshet 12, based on the American show “The Masked Singer” of the Fox network, which itself is based on the Korean show “King of Mask Singer”.
In the program, fourteen famous artists anonymously and in costume compete in a singing competition in each episode and perform a 90-120 second cover version of a famous song. Clues to the person’s identity are presented before each performance through a recorded interview in which the celebrity, while distorting his voice, narrates a video showing hidden hints of what that celebrity is known for. To confuse the panelists and viewers, distractions are also included.

The members of the panel try to guess the identity of each singer, after their performance and before the elimination. They are also allowed to ask questions or ask the facilitator to present additional clues. After all the performances are over, the audience and panel members vote for their favorite singer using an electronic device, and the singer with the lowest number of votes removes his mask and reveals his identity, and is eliminated from the competition.
To maintain the confidentiality of the identity of the participants and to prevent leaks, they stay in a secure area, separate from the audience and the rest of the production staff. In addition, at the moment of the exposure itself, the audience leaves the studio, in order to reduce as much as possible the number of people who know the identity of the participants.
