Speaking at the closing national forum of the National Federation of RNI elected officials, Mr. Akhannouch indicated that the Executive has focused throughout the last two and a half years on all files and projects, including the education, health, direct social assistance, health coverage for all categories, housing assistance, management of drought and dysfunctions of water policy, as well as the al Haouz earthquake and social dialogue .
The achievements made have had a positive impact on citizens at the territorial and local level, he affirmed, noting that the next stage will experience major challenges in several areas, like the issues of water, promotion of employment and development of the national economy.
The president of the RNI also reviewed the challenges awaiting elected officials, in this case their legal and institutional status, questions of skills and financial and human resources, as well as issues of convergence of programs and territorial strategies, communication and training of elected officials.
According to him, this national forum comes after a series of regional forums held by the party, with the participation of more than 10,000 RNI elected officials, with a view to operationalizing the main programs and ideas resulting from them.
For his part, Mohamed Aujjar, member of the RNI political bureau, declared to MAP that this national forum constitutes an opportunity to take stock of the government’s achievements during the first half of its mandate in all areas: politics, economic, social and human rights and to discuss the challenges and questions that arise in the future.
The organization of this meeting by the National Federation of RNist elected officials follows the regional rounds held in the 12 regions of the Kingdom, and constitutes an opportunity to present the party’s vision in terms of promoting the action of local authorities and chambers professional and to examine the main recommendations of the party’s elected officials in the municipalities, regional councils and professional chambers with a view to improving action at the territorial level.
