The project « Here begins the sea« aims to raise public awareness of the importance of waste management in Libreville. In particular not to throw them into the gutters which lead them inexorably into the ocean. This project, launched by the Gabonese Federation for the Environment Okiri, in agreement with the High Commission for the Environment and Quality of Life, the Central Town Hall of Libreville, the DGEPN, is supported by CMA-CGM and ARISE.

The first phase of the project focuses on the 1st district of the city.
