The Prosecutor’s Office charged the former governor of Santander before the Supreme Court of Bogotá Mauricio Aguilar Hurtado to lead contracts in favor of the participants in his electoral campaign.

Because of this, The investigating entity accused him of crimes of embezzlement by appropriation in favor of third parties, aggravatedcontract without complying with legal requirements and concluding an improper interest in contracts, charges are not accepted.

According to the file, Two interagency agreements signed by the government are under investigation with the regional public television channel (TRO).

The first of these was signed on 11 September 2020; and the second, on May 18, 2021. The total value would be 8,593 million. the pesos and its objective would be ordered to the institutional image, “Always Santander.”
