The Superior Prosecutor’s Office of the Region of Murcia has initiated criminal investigation proceedings into the actions of the Murcia City Council in relation to the nightclubs that burned down on October 1, in which 13 people died, to determine if there is any irregularity and the criminal consequences and civilians that may arise from it.

In statements to the regional public radio station Onda Regional de Murcia, its owner, José Luis Díaz Manzanera, explained that since the court investigating the causes of the fire for which it opened proceedings for 13 reckless homicides “is not going to focus “Right now in this other section of municipal action, it will be the prosecutor who will collect this information.”

“Afterwards, the investigations carried out and the conclusions reached will be contributed to the judicial procedure or, where appropriate, they can also be carried out in a different judicial procedure,” he added.
