Mukasippitariyur Gram Panchayat near Chennimalai in Erode District is one of the largest Gram Panchayats in Tamil Nadu.
A handloom weavers colony of 1010 houses is situated in this area. More people are living in Mukasipitariyur Panchayat area than Town Panchayat.
Kumarapuri, Arthanari Palayam, Papangadu, P.R.S. More than 4,500 people live in Road, Kalathugadu area. There was no overhead tank to supply drinking water in this area.
Also, as there was no land belonging to the panchayat to construct an overhead tank, the drinking water tank was not constructed. Due to this, there has been drinking water problem in these areas for a long time.
In this situation, a special public meeting was organized regarding the construction of an overhead tank in the area. In this meeting, all the public participated and it was decided to buy a place on behalf of the public to build an overhead tank. Accordingly, a location was selected and an amount was fixed for the house.
In this situation, Murugesh belongs to Kumarapuri 3rd road area near Mugasipitariyur on Chennimalai-Perunthurai road. His wife was Tamilarasi. They run a grocery store in that area. They have one son named Pradeepkrishna.
They came to know about the purchase of land to build an overhead tank for the drinking water needs of the villagers. Therefore, you should not buy a place so that they can relieve the hardship of the poor people in this area. They said that we are donating our own land.
Subsequently, the Murugesh-Tamil Rasi couple donated their land in that area to the Gram Panchayat within two days.
They presented the donation bond to Mukashipidariyur Panchayat Council Chairman Gable Nagaraj, Deputy Chairman Sathish alias Subramaniam and 14th Ward Councilor of the Panchayat Council Ms. Panchavel.
It is noted that the current value of the donated land is Rs 25 lakh. Also, it is noteworthy that the place they gave is a plateau suitable for setting up an overhead tank to transport water to all areas.
This has become a permanent solution to the problem of drinking water for more than 4,500 people. After that, the people of the surrounding area congratulated them in person.
