jpnn.com, JAKARTA – The legislative and presidential elections have taken place safely and. Various survey institutions have announced the Prabowo-Gibran pair as the winner of the presidential election.

More than 17 state leaders have congratulated Prabowo Subianto as the winner of the presidential election, even though the official results have not yet been announced by the General Election Commission.

This phenomenon shows that survey institutions are increasingly trusted as references by the public.

In line with this, the Indonesian Public Opinion Research Association (AROPI), the oldest association that oversees pollsters in Indonesia, has conducted a field survey.

“It should be remembered that AROPI under the leadership of Denny JA at that time was the association that had overturned the ban on the publication of quick counts on voting day, through a judicial review in 2009.

Based on the survey results, it was revealed that 75.4% of respondents really trusted/fairly trusted the survey institute.

As many as 22.5% said they did not trust/did not trust the survey institution at all. As many as 2.1% answered they didn’t know or didn’t answer.

“When compared with the same survey conducted in the 2019 general election season, the level of trust in survey institutions increased by 7.6%. In March 2019, AROPI conducted field research with more or less the same questions. The results showed that respondents really trusted/fairly trusted “to the survey institute was 67.8%. Meanwhile, those who said they didn’t believe it at all/didn’t believe it at all were 29.0%. The rest didn’t know or didn’t answer,” explained the General Chair of the Indonesian Public Opinion Research Association (AROPI), Sunarto Ciptoharjono, Friday ( 8/3).

If we look at the party voter segment, the majority of people trust survey institutions.
