DIG/ At the end of 2022, the public sector payroll in Gabon has increased by 1% to stand at nearly 690 billion francs (689.4 billion FCFA).
According to figures compiled by the General Directorate of Budget and Public Finance and the Public Treasury, this development is explained by an increase of the permanent salary (+2.9%), despite a drop in the payroll of the Non-Permanent Workforce (-15.4%), in connection with the maintenance of human resources management policies .
At the end of December 2022, the civil service payroll recorded an increase of 2.9% to 646.8 billion FCFA.
This remains more accentuated in the Economic Administration (+8.7%) and Transport (+4.0%) This development essentially results from the regularization of administrative situations.
The payroll of non-permanent labor (MONP) was established, for its part, to 28.5 billion FCFA, a decrease of 15.4% compared to 2021.
This decrease is linked to the drop in the number of agents in this category. (-4,6%).
