After the goal, the Puskás Academy continued to play with a slight advantage and it was clear that Zsolt Hornyák’s team would like to score the second goal as well, thereby gaining a slightly more reassuring difference. However, chances were often missed, either because of bad decisions or because of the opponent’s good defense. In the 70th minute, Komáromi fell to the ground after a very sweet situation, but the referee ruled that the situation did not deserve a penalty. Four minutes later, Zsolt Nagy made a move, he passed to Plsek, who was coming on as a substitute, but his shot was blocked.
Towards the last quarter of an hour, MTK Budapest switched gears and put everything on the same page and tried to win points. In the 81st minute, Horváth won the ball inside the penalty area, created space for himself and shot, but Markek saved his team from the goal with a tremendous feat. In the remaining time, the teams attacked alternately, they reached small and big situations, but they did not score another goal. In the fifth minute of extra time, Beriasvili came close, but Favorov put his foot right into the empty goal and freed him, thus becoming a hero again. Puskás Akadémia thus triumphed 1-0 against MTK Budapest and maintained its undefeated and flawless form in NB I, leading the table with 12 points, three ahead of Ferencváros, who played three matches, and MTK, who also played four matches.
