Bollywood’s popular movie franchise ‘Mardaani’. Shivani Shivaji Roy, a police officer who faced various social problems including rape and women abuse, is the main character of the movie. Rani Mukherjee is the IPS officer who is beating the screen. Aditya Chopra is producing this franchise.
The second part of the movie was released in 2019. Rani is going to appear with the third part after 5 years. A source related to the ‘Mardaani’ movie told Pinkvilla, “’Mardaani’ is a franchise loved by Aditya Chopra and Rani Mukerji. Now they are working on the screenplay with the writers. The writers are putting final touches on the script. After that the pre-production work will begin. The makers have planned to start shooting early next year.”
As before, the new part will feature negative characters. Informing that, the source said, “Mardaani’ in two parts of the movie attracted attention in negative roles – Tahir Raj Bhasin, Vishal Jethwa respectively. As before, the makers will present Rani Mukherjee as a stronger personality in the new part.”
As always, Rani Mukerji will appear on the screen in an action look. The source said, ‘Rani Mukherjee loves to play the role of Shivani Shivaji Roy. Because it is a very strong character. Women leading a franchise in India. And Rani Mukherjee is doing that work like Mardani.’
The first part of the ‘Mardani’ franchise was directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Gopi produced the second part. However, the report did not inform who will be in the chair of direction in the third part.
