On October 23, at 9:30pm, Teatro Sá da Bandeira, in Santarém, will host a screening of the film “To Chimera”by Italian director Alice Rohrwacher. Set in rural Tuscany during the 1980s, the plot follows Arthur (played by Josh O’Connor), an English archaeologist involved in a scheme to destroy Etruscan tombs. While his partners are looking for riches, Arthur only wants to meet Beniamina, the woman he never stopped loving.
This film was in competition at the 76th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, where it was awarded the AFCAE Award. Alice Rohrwacher, famous for films like “Wonderland” e “Happy as Lazarus”surprise again with humor marked by fantasy.
Tickets for the general public cost €5, with reduced prices for Cineclube members (€2.5) and young people up to 30 years of age (€1). Young people up to the age of 30 who are also members of the Cineclube have free entry.
