The National Association of Companies in the Two Wheel Sector (ANESDOR) has just published its usual monthly results report on motorcycle sales in Spain, confirming the positive trend of a market that, month after month, it doesn’t stop growing.
In November the 17,608 registrations in Spain, 4.5% compared to the same month of the previous year, and if we look at the accumulated data during the first 11 months of the year, we see that the increase is already 12.2% compared to that same period in 2022.
It is surprising, for example, the momentum it has gained the off-road segment, with 28% more sales in November (809 units), growing even more than that of scooters (+12.1%), which with 8,452 registrations continues to be the most sold type of motorcycle in our country, above road motorcycles, with 6,380 units. and a slight decline of 1.7% in its sales. Mopeds close November with a drop of 21% and only 948 units registered throughout the country.
In the analysis by brands, Honda maintains leadership in Spain, although its evolution is negative. In November, the golden wing brand sold 5.1% compared to the previous year, registering 3,296 sales that allow Honda to corner 21% of the market, that is, for every 10 motorcycles sold in Spain, two of them are Sling.
Yamaha follows in the distance with 2,338 sales closed in November, 10.7% more, a podium that the Taiwanese firm closes Kymco (3rd +18.6%), which continues its upward trend in Spain and is already the third most preferred brand by the national public.
November was not a good month for BMW Motorrad; The German firm lost 20.4% in sales compared to November 2022, although it remained in fourth position in the ranking with 948 registered models, followed by Piaggio (5º 908 uds.), Kawasaki (6th 674 units) and SYM (7º 600 uds).
VOGE 525 DSX
Within the top 10 best-selling brands in Spain we find two Chinese firms: Zontes (8th 574 units) and VOGE (9th 512 units). The first has its greatest sales success in Spain in its Zontes E 350 scooter with 156 registrations and a 22nd global position in the ranking of best-selling motorcycles, also highlighting the acceptance of its naked U 125 (93 units) and its scooter D 125, of which they sold 78 units in November.
VOGE, for its part, has managed to attract the Spanish public with its SR1 125a highly equipped 125 cc scooter of which 175 units have been sold this last month, while another trail model from the Asian firm, the VOGE 525 DSX, was the 29th best-seller in Spain with 117 registrations in November.
And continuing with other recent launches that have been widely accepted in Spain, without a doubt we must highlight the reception that the renewed BMW R 1300 GS has had among the Spanish public; The popular German boxer, which starts here at a RRP of 21,290 euros, was the second best-selling road motorcycle in our market in November with 167 registrations, surpassed only by the always successful Z 900 from Kawasaki, again the favorite among motorcyclists. Spanish with 214 units sold.

Finally, looking at the global count of motorcycles that were sold the most in Spain last month, 125 cc scooters are the clear dominators of our market. Yamaha placed two of its models at the top, the NMAX 125 (1st 467 units) and the that has sold the most in Spain in the global cumulative total of the year.
Another 125 cc Honda, the SH 125i, consolidates itself in fourth position with 392 units delivered in November, ahead of the Yamaha Honda ADV 350 (8th 299 units), the SYM Symphony 125 (9th 299 units) and the Kymco Agility S 125 (10th 251 units).
