The RAE academic Darío Villanueva visits Jaca as part of the ELE courses

The professor of Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature and emeritus professor at the University of Santiago will give the talk in the Salón de Ciento of the Jaca City Council, at 8:00 p.m.

Villanueva will be followed on August 16 by the visit of Aurora Egido, also an academic, who will offer the conference Pointe blank. The show off jousting in the Kingdom of Aragon and Don Quixote.

On August 23, María Antonia Martín Zorraquino, linguist and professor at the University of Zaragoza, will take the baton with her conference Female speech: empirical reality and social stereotypes.

Throughout the month of August, the Spanish courses as a foreign language at the University of Zaragoza move their headquarters from Zaragoza to Jaca, revalidating its title as an international benchmark in the sector.

Since 1927, they have attracted foreign students of more than twenty different nationalities every year who experience in the capital of Jacetania not only learning the Spanish language, but also cultural immersion through various complementary activities.

This week, from August 7 to 11, and in parallel to these courses, a Combined Intensive Program (BIP) is being offered on Intercomprehension between Romance languages ​​for specific purposes, organized by the UNITA Alliance of Universities and which favors interculturality and multilingualism that characterize the atmosphere at the Jaca Residence Hall during this month.

In addition to the ELE courses, specific training for Spanish teachers is also offered, which is recognized by the Instituto Cervantes.

The UNIZAR Extraordinary Courses (CEX), directed by Carmen Marta-Lazo, have incorporated the four seasons of the year as a novelty this year and will return next autumn.

Registration is now open on the website cursosextraordinarios.unizar.es/cursos-otono and, between October and November, they will address various topics such as the introduction to mindfulness, protocol, female leadership, communication and ecosocial design or the rise of voice technologies.
