The Raffaelli family won the defamation lawsuit they filed against someone who pretended to be a businessman, Avidan Gov, who rented an apartment from the famous family. The story was first revealed in the “Disclosure” investigation of Chaim Etgar. After he refused to pay the amount he committed to, he went on a smear campaign against the family and now it has been determined that he will compensate the members of the Refali family with NIS 300,000. Gov will also be required to pay court costs of NIS 40,000, and will return to the family the fee they paid when filing the lawsuit, the judge ruled this morning Azaria Alkalaijudge of the Magistrate’s Court in Tel Aviv.
The verdict in favor of the Refali family was given as part of the defamation lawsuit they filed about two years ago Rafi, Dor andOn Rafaeli and son of Tzipi Raphaeli from her first marriage – Neil Ben Porat against Gov through the lawyer Shlomi Weinbergdefamation expert and lawyer Lia Plus specializing in criminal law. At the center of the lawsuit was the claim that Gov spread slander about the family through “false and malicious defamatory publications”.

This morning (Monday) the hearing of the evidence in the case was supposed to take place, but Gov and his lawyer did not come to it, leading to the fact that the court gave a verdict in the absence of defense in favor of the family members. This was after the judge made sure that the defendant was aware that a hearing would be held in his case today. In addition, the court required Gov to publish a notice of correction and denial of the things published by him as defamation.
