Through a statement shared by TMZ, Tay assured that her Instagram account was “compromised”, declaring herself devastated by the hundreds of comments she received in the last few hours.

Tay mentioned that the released statement was so misinformed that even her given name was incorrect, as she is listed as Claire Hope instead of Tay Tian.
“My Instagram account was compromised by a third party and used to spread misinformation and rumors about me, to the point where even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not ‘Claire Hope.’”
