KAARIS. Rapper Kaaris, targeted by a complaint filed by his ex-girlfriend, was placed in police custody this Wednesday, September 28, at the Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois police station, in Essonne.

The rapper, targeted by a complaint filed by his ex-girlfriend for violence last July, was placed in police custody this Wednesday morning at the police station in Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois, in Essonne, reports Le Parisien. He is heard there on the accusations of violence filed by his former companion, following a particularly stormy divorce. “We insisted that he be heard as quickly as possible and asked for a confrontation to put his accuser in the face of her contradictions. This is the classic procedure in this kind of situation”, reacted to the Parisian Me Yassine Maharsi , Kaaris’ lawyer questioned about his client’s custody.
Kaaris accused of violence
On July 15, AFP revealed that a preliminary investigation had been opened for “aggravated willful violence”, targeting the rapper, by the Evry prosecution following said complaint from his companion. The facts she described there date back to January 19, 2021. An investigation which also covered alleged acts of non-assistance to a person in danger against the new friend of the rapper from Sevran. Faced with these accusations, Kaaris had filed a complaint against his former girlfriend for slanderous denunciation.
The testimony of the companion of Kaaris
At the time, the couple, who had a little girl in common, had been separated for several months. In his complaint story, consulted by the newspaper, Kaaris’ ex-companion explains that he surprised the rapper with his new friend at his home in Essonne. After attacking the car of this new companion, the complainant recounts having been beaten in the garage of Kaaris, whom she accuses of violence: kicks and punches in particular. The new companion of Kaaris would not have tried to intervene to separate the former spouses, still according to the complaint.
Kaaris denies the violence against his ex-girlfriend
Faced with these accusations, Kaaris denied the facts. The rapper’s lawyers, My Yassine Maharsi and Yassine Yakouti, assured AFP this summer that their client was “appeased and serene” in the face of “imaginary and opportunistic accusations that could be swept away by a reverse investigation. is the story of a jealous woman who needs to exist.” Master Maharsi confirmed for his part to the Mouv ‘that a “complaint for slanderous denunciation (was) in the process of being drafted”. And to tackle: “My client is undergoing an ignoble media vendetta. Justice will, without a doubt, know how to restore the truth, and he refutes any accusation of violence and demonstrated to justice the dishonesty of his ex- girlfriend… Whose only goal is money.”
