Who is the discoverer of x-rays?
The man to whom this creation is owed is Wilhelm Röntgen. On November 8, 1895, he discovered X-rays while investigating the properties of cathode rays. Because he had never observed anything like it before he called this invention X radiation.
To test this invention he took a screenshot of his wife’s hand and it became the first x-ray in history. His work was so important that for this feat he obtained the First Nobel Prize in Physics delivered in 1901.
