“Bulgarian leaders reacted tragically”, this is what the journalist from “24 Chasa” Victor Ivanov said in the program “Referendum” on BNT on the occasion of the speech of French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday.

The President of France surprisingly hinted at sending Western troops to help Ukraine. Russia quickly responded that it would be a global conflict, and European leaders jumped in to quell the tension. NATO has always avoided the topic of military intervention so as not to provoke Russia, which has nuclear weapons.

“The Minister of Defense at noon, when all of Europe was already buzzing with the topic, posted a photo from the Elysée Palace on Facebook, and until an hour ago he did not speak about the topic. The Ministry did not comment on his participation, it was not even announced,” said Ivanov.

“He himself did not appear anywhere to comment. He came out with one short sentence an hour ago: We will not send. This is what he said to Kiril Petkov, but he is the minister of Bulgaria, not to Kiril Petkov”, he also commented.

According to Ivanov, the memorandum proposed by Kiril Petkov also talks about new judicial authorities, an inspectorate of the SJC.

“This is chosen with 160 votes. That is, there will be a need for DPS again. In this situation, the formula is obviously 2:1 or 1:1:1,” said the journalist.

“Let’s not forget that on March 9, “Yes, Bulgaria” have a national conference, at which it is very likely that Hristo Ivanov will be asked to account for the alliances he entered into,” he recalled.

“We had a governance statement that didn’t come together on two printed sheets. It’s quite logical that people would hope that when you have a detailed agreement, whether coalition or cooperation, which spells out who does what, then you have clarity. Clarity when this thing will end without someone waking up in a frenzy in the morning and slapping the morning block: red line,” Victor Ivanov also said regarding the survival of the (non)coalition.

According to him, we have cannibalism between DB and PP, and “We continue the change” are currently almost liquidated from the electoral base, while “Democratic Bulgaria” are there and will take their votes.

“We have an invitation addressed to the DPS to help us with something, obviously the conditions set by the DPS: we will help in return for something. And now some strange refusal to fulfill the agreement,” he summarized.
