The outstanding actor

Bokayo sake, score: 9
An excellent game by the Englishman, who was involved in every attack and gave the victory to Arsenal with a great brace

The disappointing player

Muhammad Salah, score: 3
Just not the same player. The Egyptian star was rightly replaced when he failed to express himself in Liverpool’s attacks

Liverpool’s crisis at its peak, Arsenal’s boom at its peak. The Gunners defeated Jurgen Klopp’s fading team at the Emirates tonight (Sunday) 2:3 in the tenth round of the Premier League, returned to the top at the expense of Manchester City and moved the Mighty Reds up to 14 (!) points from first place. Rehabilitation of those who thought that at the beginning of October the European runner-up would be completely out of the race for the championship in England.

The first half opened with a storm and after only 58 seconds of play Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the fastest lead ever against Liverpool, after receiving a great deep ball from Martin Odegaard. Jurgen Klopp’s men looked hesitant at the start of the game and were unable to get forward.

Mikel Arteta’s men downshifted and went backwards, the Mets took control of the game and in the 33rd minute it paid off, when Darwin Nunes scored the equaliser. It looked like the half was going to end in a draw, but a minute before the whistle Bokayo Saka restored the lead to Arsenal against Liverpool’s weak defence.

The frenetic pace of the game continued in the second half, Mikel Arteta’s men started to press hard all over the pitch, but Liverpool managed to sting, when Primino received a great ball from Jota and leveled the score again. The Gunners continued to control the ball and got into dangerous situations and in the 76th minute Saka restored Mikel Arteta’s rightful advantage when he scored from the penalty spot. Liverpool at the start of a catastrophic season and this game also failed to get Jurgen Klopp’s cart out of the mud.

Arsenal with a great record of eight wins and one loss, when in the next round they will meet Leeds and try to keep the top, but even before that they will play in the Europa League against Buda Glimt. On the other hand, Jurgen Klopp’s men will play in the Champions League in the middle of the week against Rangers and then they will meet another huge team in the next round, Manchester City, and maybe then they will be able to recover from the bad start of the season.
