About two weeks after the announcement of the Realme 9 Pro, the two models of the series arrive in Israel on official import. The Realme 9 Pro model will cost NIS 1,299, while the Realme 9 Pro Plus model is slightly more expensive, with a pricing of NIS 1,499 for a model with 128 GB for file storage, and NIS 1,599 for a model with 256 GB.
The main advantage of the Realme 9 Pro Plus model is in a more advanced photography system, which includes a main sensor with a resolution of 50 megapixels and optical stabilization for a noise-free image, along with a wide-angle sensor (8 megapixel resolution) and a macro sensor. In the “regular” Realme 9 Pro model, the main sensor comes with a resolution of 64 megapixels, but without optical image stabilization.
The Realme 9 Pro Plus chipset is MediaTek’s Dimensity 920, while the Realme 9 Pro comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 695 chipset. The two models also differ in size and screen type: 6.4-inch OLED and 90 Hz refresh rate in the Pro Plus model, and 6.6-inch LCD and 120 Hz refresh rate in the Pro model.
The battery of the Pro model is also larger: a capacity of 5,000 mAh, compared to 4,500 in the Realme 9 Pro Plus. However the Realme 9 Pro Plus fingerprint scanner is embedded within the display, and is also capable of measuring heart rate while clicking.
Both devices come with the Android 12 operating system, alongside the Realme UI 3.0 interface. And an unusual gimmick: the back of the device switches between different shades depending on the degree of exposure to the sun.
