jpnn.comBANDUNG – 26 year old striker, Ezra Walian officially left Persib Bandung after three years with the club.
Persib coach Bojan Hodak also revealed the reason behind Ezra’s departure.
Hodak said that Persib actually wanted to keep Ezra to continue filling the team’s front line in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 competition season.
However, there was no agreement between the Dutch naturalized player and management.
“I actually want to keep Ezra but the problem is the budget. I can’t go ahead by bringing in players (without thinking about the budget),” said Hodak when met after a training session at Sidolig Stadium, Bandung City, Monday (15/7/2024).
According to Hodak, Persib needs to spend a large budget to renew Ezra’s contract this season.
When he first came to Persib in 2021, Ezra was contracted for three years.
“We’ve talked to him, management has talked but in the end there was no budget. Ezra waited but the offer was not suitable, so he left,” he said.
