The reform of the judicial system: Danny Danon refers to the attempts at negotiation

by time news

Member of Knesset Danny Danon (Likud) spoke this morning (Friday) with Nissim Mashal on his program on 103FM, and referred to the joint call issued this week on behalf of officials in his party along with others in the state camp, for talks on legal reform. “Unfortunately, we have reached a situation where the flames are getting higher and higher every day,” he noted.

Says one thing and means another: how can you talk to a person like Simcha Rothman?

However, he presented an optimistic forecast for him: “I believe that in the end there will be negotiations. Those who believe in reform understand that it is not enough to get support in the Knesset. We have the majority, and there will be 64 votes in favor of the reform, but we need to get broad public support and that is done through dialogue and By talking. By the way, the letter we wrote called for talking, sitting down and talking. I believe that in the discussion there are issues in the reform that you can reach a broad understanding about quite easily.”

“The big question is what is the price we will pay until we reach the equal valley, I came and said from the beginning: friends, we will get there, the reform will pass, maybe not 100 percent as we want. I am bothered by the price and therefore, I am calling for negotiations,” he noted.

“Everyone chooses their own way and style,” he said regarding the majority of Knesset members in his party who did not join the call for negotiations, adding: “We need to expand the circle of support, that’s the important thing. If we don’t do it in a few years, another majority in the Knesset will come and it will reverse the decisions These are very fast. Since I believe in changes, I think they should be done in a different way, in a smarter way, and share with people. There is also no unity of opinion on the other side – there are people like Lapid, who fell in love with demonstrations, protests, and militancy, and there are other, more governmental factors, since We want to calm down the situation and see how we can reach the equal valley.”
