by time news

The Minister of Communications, Dr. Shlomo Karai, met today (Monday) with the chairmen of the ultra-orthodox parties, Minister Rabbi Aryeh Deri, Minister Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf and MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni, and informed them about the cancellation of the Kuma Hachshara reform in the coming days.

It was also agreed that the final evacuation of the 2nd and 3rd generation frequencies in favor of an efficient deployment of the 4th and 5th generation frequencies at the end of 2025 will be carried out as planned.

The minister and the heads of the political parties reached an understanding that in order to allow the market to prepare better in terms of adapted 4th generation devices, he will extend by half a year the possibility of purchasing new 2nd and 3rd generation lines. Mobility between companies will be possible until the end of 2025.

Minister of the Interior and Health and Deputy Prime Minister Rabbi Aryeh Deri: “Congratulates Minister of Communications Shlomo Karai for canceling the cell phone reform, the whole purpose of which is to impose a complete lifestyle on over a million people. Minister Karai is a true democrat who, unlike his predecessor in office, considers the rights of citizens.”

Housing Minister Rabbi Yitzhak Goldknopf: “I would like to congratulate my friend Minister Shlomo Karai for canceling the offensive cell phone reform. Blessed are you that you were blessed to sanctify the name of heaven and make the greats of Israel happy! The real estate reform was a blatant interference by a detached minister, in a public way of life, who chose to protect himself and His children from inappropriate content. In a rare way, Israel’s elders went up to the minister and begged him not to harm the Torah-observant public, but he closed his ears. Throughout the election campaign, we promised to cancel the reform and, God’s blessing, we succeeded.”

Chairman of Degal HaTorah and Chairman of the Finance Committee MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni: “I congratulate Minister of Communications Shlomo Karai for his decision to cancel the cell phone reform which was designed to harm the ultra-Orthodox public and interfere with their way of life. This is one of the issues we committed to cancel with the establishment of the new government and I am happy about it.”

Minister of Communications Dr. Shlomo Karai: “I am happy for the privilege that has fallen to my lot to correct the distortion and restore the honor of the ultra-Orthodox public that was trampled for no wrongdoing.” When you act with understanding and good spirit and don’t try to blatantly interfere with individual freedom and the way of life of an entire public, you can reach agreements quickly and efficiently for the benefit of all parties.”
